Volunteer Opportunity

This has been our first year of implementing the MOHI Education Cooperative. It has been more than I could have hoped for. Designed to enhance the learning experience for expat/missionary kids in our area, this cooperative provides up to 3 days of cooperative learning in support of Home School families per week. Alicia D'Olimpio has done a wonderful job of choosing the curriculum, organizing "school" for our first six students, and faithfully making school a great experience for each one of them. Alicia came to Haiti in August to serve our community in the cooperative and will complete her term in mid-June. She's done an amazing job and we're just so proud of her. Now we need to find so

G3 WWLM Heier Kind of Week

Team G3 joined us for a week of clinics, outreaches, and fun with the kiddos. They came bearing treats, medicines, soccer balls, and more. They assisted in the medical clinic. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy their interactions with the students. Their visit to the storm ravaged areas of Port Salut gave them the opportunity to help many hurting souls with medical care, food, and clothing. WWLM shipped tools and supplies for the students that these six men are teaching carpentry skills to this week. Both teams had a

Vocational Training

Paul Rogers finished up filming and shooting some still photos this week. He was amazing with those lenses! Our friends from Bless Back Worldwide sent us a small team this past week. Lynda Carlson, owner of Attitudes A Salon (Matthews, NC) has been working on a plan to support vocational training here at MOHI. To that end, this team spent the week training 11 young women in the beginning steps of cosmetology. The final exam was certainly not a breeze.. ...but everyone managed to pass! Nanncy was really happy to get her certificate from Lynda! So were these girls... The team also held kids camp for some our students in the afternoons. And they joined the MOH

Parade of Pictures

Professional photographer/videographer, Paul Rogers, is with us for a bit, working on some videos for us. He was so kind as to share a few photos with us along the way. You'll see many of them below. Paul is from Vermont and brought us an appropriate gift: Vermont maple sugar candy. This brought a little bit of "home" to me - and to Alicia, too! We first met Paul at Soulfest, a few years ago. Speaking of Soulfest, here's a reminder. If you haven't purchased your tickets yet... What are you waiting for? Come on up to Gilford New Hampshire. Help us out at the MOHI tent and enjoy the music - especially the music coming from MOHI's band, the Light of Hope. We welcomed Hal Eban to MOHI th
