I Was Lost, But Now I Am Found

Sometimes the smallest of things can just send my spirit soaring. Like this light bulb shining in the bathroom at our main campus in Thozin. Even in the middle of the day, it's a dark room. How wonderful it is to SEE when visiting the restroom. We don't have turf on the soccer field yet. I still don't know how we can possibly plant grass and expect it to grow, since it will likely be impossible to keep people off the field. See what happens to the ball when the field is still damp from a light rain? We had such a great time this week with the team from Bless Back Worldwide. We held Health Days - one for men and one for women. It was so wonderful to see older men being helped into the

When You Can't HE CAN!

We welcomed another team from Bless Back Worldwide yesterday. This team is comprised of medical and dental professionals, their sons and daughters, and others who will be focusing on working with children this week. The team joined us for a wonderful worship service in Thozin this morning. After church they all got right to work setting up the clinics for the team and inventorying medicines. LOTS of work. Thank you Bless Back!!! This past week we had a really FUN day at the school. Our students spent the ENTIRE day here for a recreational day. There were two student soccer matches. And we held the final for the school talent search. On another day we had a meeting with parents. It's alw

Medical and Dental Opportunities

Sunday afternoon we welcomed a small film crew from Tulsa, OK, led by producer Jonathan Coussens. They spent a whirlwind of 2 full days with us, filming and interviewing for a TV show scheduled to come out this Spring. (I'll update you as the time nears.) We loved working with these guys! I was floored as I listened to some of our student interviews. They have such a deep love and respect for Pastor Lex. The other remarkable thing to me was that between Pastor Lex, Pastor Dan Lee, and myself, there were still many things we didn't think to show them up front. Moments like this inevitably cause us to praise the Lord for HIS goodness to us all. We had many wonderful experiences with the

Better than the Day Before

An old favorite song comes to mind today - "Every day with you Lord is sweeter than the day before." This has been my experience in Haiti. Each day I'm like a little child on Christmas morning. What will YOU bring to us today, LORD? How can I serve YOU today? Whose life can I touch? It's an exciting life, for sure! Lex and I love being back in Haiti. We really hit the ground running with plenty of work to do before the start of our Christian Leadership Academy on January 3rd. We arrived on January 1st and welcomed Pastor Rex Holt and part of the Francis family from Nashville on the 2nd. Pastor Dan Lee joined us on the 3rd, as Pastor Rex opened the event at our Thozin campus. Friday
