I Love You Mommy

Today is a doubly special day. It's Memorial Day in The United States. I was so touched by this video that I wanted to share it with you, too, in honor of those who gave their all for us. In Haiti, today is Mother's Day. It's a very big deal. As a society, Haitians love and honor their mothers - perhaps more than anyone else. I enjoyed listening to Pastor Edon telling the church to give their mothers hugs and say "I love you, Mommy" - and then everyone got up and did it. Gamaniel brought a wonderful message to the church in Thozin this morning about the way in which a mother loves. She may have a "long face" until she knows she can find food to give her children. She is more concerned

Flag Day in Haiti

May 18th citizens of Haiti, young and old alike, take great pleasure in celebrating Flag Day. I thought you might enjoy seeing our preschoolers singing and waving their homemade flags... As the school year begins to wind down (or gear up, as the case may be), we see our students are working hard and enjoying their time at school. Computer time, like library time, is greatly valued. The Fluoride Swish program in the school is helping to protect our students' teeth from decay. Mother's Day Reflections

Would you please consider making a donation to meet this need? Thank you!!! Pastor Hakine flew into Boston last night. This morning, Pastor Edon preached in his stead at the church in St. Etienne. Several of the men from Thozin accompanied him. I'm loving the camaraderie we're seeing among these men. We had a busy week in the clinic. We're so blessed to have a great local staff of medical

Remembering The Way

I'd like to start out today by expressing my gratitude to all of you who opened up your wallets to help provide food to MOHI that will feed the hungry and malnourished in the Grand-Goave area of Haiti. Thank you so much for your generosity!!! We received a total of $1,000 of the $2800 needed. If you haven't participated yet, please take a moment to do so. Every gift helps. None is too small. God is providing life sustaining sustenance through all of us to His beloved people in Haiti. In addition to feeding our students each day, food donations enable us to feed clinic patients, staff, and others in need in our vicinity. This week the clinic was really busy. The dentists also stayed very
