A small team from Bless Back Worldwide joined us in Haiti this week. After almost a year of not being able to come to Haiti, it was such a joy to have them here on the ground once again. There was lots of work to do in the medical clinic - inventories, meetings, de-wormings, and basic assisting. We also did a mobile clinic outreach and food distribution in the village of Fauche. The team brought in some laptops that Bless Back Worldwide has donated to MOHI. (Thank you Bless Back!!!) Kaylah and Kimber set them up and got to work having a blast with the computer class students. Kimber wanted to read in the classroom. I can't even tell you how thrilled I was to see the children's reaction

Surrounded by Beauty

We were so excited to welcome a small team of returning friends from Bless Back Worldwide this afternoon! We look forward to a great week with them! Thanks to generous donors, we have not only been distributing food, but also giving out gifts to many children living in orphanages these past couple of weeks. Items like shampoo, toothpaste, and underwear really mean a lot when you don't always have them! No worries - there were toys included, too. Can you imagine? It was a warm, sunny day and the team thoroughly enjoyed spending time with folks and blessing them with what they had to give. They returned to Grand-Goave with exciting stories from the day - and then it happened. Although at that moment we couldn't even fathom what was going on, it was a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that would not only destroy an estimated 70% of

Personally Inspired

What can I share with you, just 4 days after my arrival back in Haiti? One word comes to mind: INSPIRATION! This post will be about how I'm experiencing inspiration, but you will understand that when "mama" is inspired (OR happy) EVERYONE is inspired (AND happy)! We came so close to cancelling our annual Christian Leadership Academy this past week. Those who were scheduled to minister this year had various reasons for needing to back out - not the least of which was the uncertainty of the political situation in the country. We've never cancelled before and had no desire to do so. We left it in the Lord's hands. Apparently He wasn't interested in cancelling either! What a joy that not on
