renew Your Spirit in Paradise

Sun Sea & Sisterhood is more than a getaway — it’s a sacred pause for your soul. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Luperón’s beaches and sunsets, women have space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with who they truly are. The retreat combines rest, worship, and laughter in an environment that restores energy, faith, and perspective — reminding you that peace and joy can coexist with purpose.

Build Authentic, Lifelong Connections

This retreat gathers women from all walks of life who share one common goal — growth through sisterhood. It’s a place where you can drop the mask, share your story, and be both seen and celebrated. Through shared meals, workshops, and late-night conversations, attendees form deep bonds that often continue long after returning home — creating a lasting network of encouragement and accountability.

You’ll leave inspired by how faith, joy, and resilience thrive even in simplicity — and return home motivated to live with greater gratitude and purpose.

FAQ

  • Q: Will there be opportunities to experience local culture?

A: Yes! You’ll have opportunities to visit local churches, a Haitian village, community sites, local attractions, and participate in home visits.

  • Q: Are there any cultural concerns I should be aware of?

A: Avoid making promises to local community members, even with the best of intentions. If promises cannot be fulfilled, it can create tension with mission staff. If you want to do something special, plan with us without promising anything to anyone locally.

  • Q: Is there a dress code?

A: Pack a dress or skirt & top for Sunday morning services. Bring a sundress or cute outfit for a day outing. Casual summer wear is fine for the rest of the retreat.

  • Q: Do I need to learn Spanish or Haitian Kreyol?

A: No, however even learning to say “good morning” and using that phrase with people will usually bring a big smile to their faces. (¡Buenos Días! / Bonjou!)

  • Q: How much does it cost to attend the retreat, and how do I secure my spot?

A: Early registration is $825 (not including airfare) if you register by December 15th, 2025 and $899 if you register by January 1st, 2026. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot, with flexible payment plans after your deposit is made.

  • Q: What should I pack?

A: Expect sunny and mostly dry days starting out in the mid-sixties and rising to the low-eighties.
