Give Strategically
There are many ways to support MOHI beyond traditional cash donations.
Strategic giving allows you to use your financial resources in meaningful ways while potentially
providing tax advantages for you and your family.
Explore the opportunities below and discover how your generosity can make an even greater impact.
Give Stocks and Securities
Make an impact through your investments.
Donating appreciated stocks, mutual funds, or other eligible securities can be a tax-efficient way to support Mission of Hope International.
Depending on your circumstances, transferring appreciated investments directly to a qualifying charitable organization may allow you to avoid capital gains taxes on the appreciation while potentially receiving a charitable deduction.
Before initiating a transfer, please contact MOHI to discuss the proposed gift and receive the appropriate transfer instructions.
Give Through a Donor-Advised Fund
Put your charitable giving plan into action.
If you have a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), you may recommend a grant to support MOHI's mission.
Donor-Advised Funds provide a convenient way to organize your charitable giving and support the causes that matter most to you.
When recommending a grant, please use the following information:
Legal Name: Mission of Hope International, Inc.
Federal Tax ID (EIN): 27-4126110
Mailing Address: P.O. Box 884, Gardner, MA 01440
Give From Your IRA
Turn your retirement savings into lasting hope.
If you are age 70½ or older, you may be eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to an eligible charitable organization.
A qualifying gift can support MOHI's mission while potentially offering tax advantages. For donors required to take minimum distributions, qualifying charitable distributions may also count toward those requirements.
Please contact MOHI before arranging an IRA gift so we can confirm acceptance and provide the information needed by your IRA custodian.
Employer Matching Gifts
our generosity could go twice as far!
Many companies offer matching gift programs that match charitable contributions made by their employees. Some programs also extend to retirees and employees' spouses.
A matching gift may increase the impact of your donation without requiring any additional contribution from you.

Ask your employer whether Mission of Hope International qualifies for its matching gift program.

A Gift That Lives Beyond You
The impact of your generosity can continue for generations. By including Mission of Hope International in your estate or long-term financial plans, you can help ensure that children and families continue receiving hope and opportunity for years to come.
Include MOHI in Your Will or Trust
Leave a legacy of hope.
One of the simplest ways to create a lasting impact is by including Mission of Hope International in your will or living trust.
You may choose to leave:
-
A specific dollar amount
-
A percentage of your estate
-
A particular asset
-
A portion of your remaining estate after other obligations are fulfilled
A charitable bequest allows you to provide for your loved ones while also supporting the mission and values that have been meaningful throughout your life.
You can generally change or revoke a bequest during your lifetime.
Name MOHI as a Beneficiary
Make a lasting gift through an existing financial account.
You may be able to name Mission of Hope International as a primary or contingent beneficiary of an eligible asset, including:

-
Retirement accounts, such as IRAs and 401(k)s
-
Life insurance policies
-
Certain bank or investment accounts
In many cases, a beneficiary designation can be updated directly with your financial institution without changing your will.
You may designate MOHI to receive all or a percentage of an eligible account.
Give Property or Other Assets
Some donors may wish to make a charitable contribution of real estate, business interests, or other valuable noncash assets.
These types of gifts can create meaningful opportunities to support MOHI's work and may offer financial or estate planning benefits depending on your circumstances.
All proposed gifts of property or other non-cash assets are subject to review and acceptance by Mission of Hope International.
We welcome the opportunity to discuss whether your proposed gift aligns with our mission and organizational needs.
