Holding Down the Fort

While Lex was in Massachusetts seeing many of you, the rest of us (Kevin, Tammy, Leah, Alexis, A. Jay, Renée) have been holding down the fort here in Haiti. For the most part, it’s not nearly as difficult as it sounds. For example, we have to see sights such as these each day…

Pastor Kevin gets to do things that he enjoys, like this…

Pastor Kevin in his element

We get to eat yummy fruit like this…

This mango tree was planted by our friends from Sri Lanka. It’s got some BIG mangos this season!

We get to go to church…

Church service at MOHI in Thozin

We unload barrels of goods, like these from the Worldwide Lighthouse Missions (Manchester, CT)…

Barrels of Blessings!

We get to see the progress in finishing the school building…

Carpeting is so inviting in the library and computer rooms.

School kitchen and conference room

We get to help the children and families in our community to feel better…

Making a difference in the clinic

We get to see our students dress up in blue and red, march, sing patriotic songs and wave flags for Flag Day…

Today is May 18th – Flag Day in Haiti!

We get to keep an eye on house construction…

And we get to feel like grandparents when the kids come for a visit…

Len Gengel brings their 45 kids to the MOHI missionary compound for a fun afternoon.

It’s a good life.
