Today's update is from Renée

“They will be called oaks of righteousness,a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”—Isaiah 61:3b

Every once in a while the Lord lets us see, in living color, the fruit of seeds planted years ago. This week was full of such moments—tiny mustard-seed beginnings now standing tall and waving their branches for His glory. I pray the snapshots and stories below will renew your confidence that your partnership is bearing an eternal harvest.

Purple Caps, Shining Futures

Yesterday, our kindergarteners in St. Etienne, Haiti, marched across the stage in bright purple caps and gowns—beaming, giggling, and clutching their little diplomas as if they were passports to the moon! For many of these families, their child is the first to complete any formal schooling. Pastor Lex spent 16 hours on the road and through the night to stand beside them—because milestones are worth the miles.

This evening we will celebrate our kindergarten and high school graduates at the Thozin campus. Please keep these young men and women in your prayers as they take their next steps.

"Loyalty"
"Loyalty"

“Let the little children come to me…for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” —Matthew 19:14

START NOW: Nourishing Little Ones from Day One

The photos you see of our START NOW Early Childhood Intervention toddlers in Thozin and St. Etienne are pure joy—round cheeks, sticky smiles, and bowls filled with nutrient-dense meals. A healthy start changes everything: attention spans, immune systems, even graduation rates down the road. Thank you for feeding both their bellies and their future dreams.

A Safe Haven in La Grúa 🏡🔒

Eight families will soon move into the new La Grúa building—now secured with fresh metal work around the community meeting area. This space doubles as home base for START NOW, Hope Squad discipleship, mobile medical clinics, and community gatherings. One building; countless Kingdom seeds!

Clean water update: the on-site clean water system continues to flow, reducing waterborne illness and giving moms freedom from daily treks to distant streams. Clean water undergirds EVERY health initiative we run—nourishing meals, wound care, and preventative education. It truly is life in a cup.

Healing Hands in Haiti

In partnership with Bless Back Worldwide, our medical and dental clinics in Thozin have become a lifeline for neighboring villages. This week, a man arrived after a serious accident; the picture of his facial and limb wounds being gently cleaned says more than words ever could. Competent, compassionate care—right in his own community—saves limbs, livelihoods, and sometimes lives. Your faithful giving keeps medicine on the shelves and trained staff at the bedside.

Hope on the Move in the Dominican Republic

Across the water, Nurse Marlouse, our Community Health Promoter, continues home visits in underserved areas—checking blood pressure, answering questions, and praying with families. Education + empathy is a powerful prescription, and you’re sending it house to house.

Bless Back Business Academy: Entrepreneurs Who Bless

Walk into the computer lab on class day, and you’ll find grown adults (and teens, too) grinning like children on Christmas morning—eagerly learning Excel formulas and marketing basics. The Academy (thank you, Bless Back Worldwide!) is equipping small business owners to grow profits and make Kingdom impact. A recent lesson: “Every interaction is an opportunity to sow peace, excellence, and respect.” That sounds a lot like Matthew 5:16 in the marketplace!

Bowls, Prayers, and Promises

Pastor Lex enjoyed praying with Hope Squad children, laughing with them, and serving them bowls you helped fill. Your monthly sponsorship does more than feed hungry tummies—it tells each child, “You matter, and God has a plan for you.” Thank you for sharing that message with every bite.

Zambia on the Horizon

Next month, Lex will spend a couple of weeks training and encouraging leaders in Zambia.

Friday, while he was double-checking that the Thozin chapel would be ready for today’s graduation ceremony, we caught a quick phone call. He listed the last-minute touches—the red carpet (critical!!!), the seating, the sound system, the decorations—then laughed, “I’m not actually doing all this work; I’m just coaching them.” In that moment I realized how perfectly the Lord has shaped him for this season. Years of hands-on labor have become an arsenal of wisdom he now passes on as a coach, equipping others to build, serve, and lead well. I’m eager to see how God uses those hard-earned lessons to bless brothers and sisters across the globe. It began in Togo and will now continue into Zambia.

His airfare is already covered—praise God! We’re now trusting Him for $1,500–$2,000 to meet in-country expenses and to bless the ministries we’ll serve alongside. If the Lord nudges you, would you consider adding a little “extra seed” to your regular gift? Thank you!

“Whoever sows generously will also reap generously…And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” —2 Corinthians 9:6, 8

Because of You

Friends, none of these snapshots would exist without your prayers, generosity, and unwavering belief that God still writes redemption stories in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. You are our co-laborers, our partners, our family. From purple caps to clean water to business plans typed out by fingers once afraid to dream—this is your harvest, too.

How You Can Help This Week

  1. Pray for our graduates as they step into new seasons.

  2. Share this update with a friend who loves missions.

  3. Give toward Lex’s Zambia trip at https://mohintl.breezechms.com/give/online?fund_id=2006357

Together, we are planting oaks of righteousness—and the forest is growing.
