What a joy it has been to host a vibrant team of young adults from Moments of Hope Church (Charlotte, NC) serving with our friends at Bless Back Worldwide! This week, they truly became hands of hope, multiplying blessings wherever they went. While every MOHI program in both Haiti and the Dominican Republic is thriving, today I would like to spotlight these extraordinary servants and the impact they have made.

We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.—Ephesians 2:10

Morning Momentum

  • Marketplace Mission. Fifteen energetic volunteers canvassed nearly 70 downtown Luperón businesses, gathering market-survey data and warmly introducing owners to our growing Bless Back Business Academy (BBBA). Conversations flowed, relationships deepened, and invaluable stats were collected for future outreach.

  • Compassionate Care. Another group journeyed to villages, feeding babies in our START NOW program and accompanying Community Health Promoter Marlouse as she checked on chronically ill neighbors—simple acts that whispered Jesus’ love.

  • Building for Tomorrow. Still others wielded hammers and saws, crafting a sturdy rabbit hutch. Soon, we’ll begin raising rabbits as a sustainable protein source for the children we feed daily.

The highlight? Designing Hope Squad T-shirts stamped with the joyful handprints of every child—colorful reminders that their hands, too, can bring hope.

Evening Encouragement

Kerry and Jessy invested evening hours coaching twelve entrepreneurs from the BBBA class. Their wisdom and encouragement helped polish business plans and spark fresh ideas.

Milestone Moments

  • Business Plan Presentations. On Sunday, Lex, José, and Taran headed up our judging panel as students confidently unveiled their business visions—testimony to months of diligent preparation.

  • Graduation Celebration. Thursday’s BBBA graduation crowned the week. Caps, gowns, and a celebratory meal reminded every graduate that their hard work is building brighter futures for their families and community.

  • Fun & Service. Friday began with a boat ride to a sandy island for snorkeling and adventure. Re-energized, the team later split into small groups with Pastor Jonel and leaders from the local Assemblies of God church, visiting families, praying over needs, and leaving food packages behind—hope extended door-to-door.

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.—Proverbs 11:25

Gratitude & Ongoing Impact

From sunrise surveys to moonlit mentoring, these young adults embodied the Hands of Hope theme in every setting. Because of their faithful service—and your ongoing prayers, encouragement, and financial partnership—MOHI’s programs continue to flourish across Hispaniola. Thank you for joining us in multiplying blessings!
