Sweet Connection
Our high school seniors, you may recall, missed two of their national exams due to some rioting at the school where the exams were being administered. I'm so grateful for all of you who were praying for these students. This week they were allowed to retake those two exams. It would not have been beyond reason for those in authority to deny this privilege, but God made a way for them. Today we rejoice with them! It was a full week of school with lots of hard work in the cl

Thankfulness? Yes!
In this season, more than ever, finding reasons to be thankful can be challenging, but will really change our outlook on life. Watching the news on TV can bring fear and anger - neither of which is helpful to any of us. We are part of a larger community, so I'm not going to advocate for hiding from the news, but I'm thinking that I need to counter the effect it has on me. Rhema
We received exciting news this week concerning our high school Freshmen class. All of these 9th grade students passed their national exams. Praise God! After such a short school year, many were nervous about these exams. Congratulations to our students! And to our staff and the student's families: Thank you! They wouldn't have made it this far on their own. Your support and care for them is making all the difference! Have you ever had a toothache and chose to hold off g

Celebrating Benite

Happy birthday to Benite! We have known Benite for 20 years. Her mom and dad were farmers who moved to Thozin from way out in the mountains. Her mom signed her up for third grade during our first visit to Grand-Goave back in March, 2000. After high school

The Eternal Perspective

God considers death to be His enemy. It's no wonder we don't like it. And yet, the reality for those in Christ is that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." The Apostle Paul struggled with wanting to go on to be with Jesus - not because he was
